2009 IIHF World Junior Championship At the first stage 10 teams are divided into 2 groups – A and B – involving 5 teams each. Group A will include CAN, CZE, GER, KAZ, USA. In group B will play SWE, FIN, RUS, LAT, SVK. Later the teams taking second and third placing will play in quarterfinals challenging the right to play with group winners in semifinals. The finals and the match for third placing will be held on January 05, 2009.
