Handball 2008 Women’s European Championship The tournament taking place from December 02 till 14, 2008 involves 16 national teams divided for Preliminary round into 4 groups of four teams each and playing with each other in a round robin. In Main round 12 best teams play with each other in two groups of 6 teams, including the results of head-to-head matches played in the preliminary round. The winners and runner-ups of both groups will meet in semifinals. The finals will be held on December 14 when new European champions for the consecutive 2 years will be determined.
